Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my campaign website! My name is Sylvia, and I am running for a seat on the Albany County School District 1 Board of Trustees in Area A.  I was born and raised in Laramie, attending the Lab School and Laramie High School, and I am eternally grateful for the countless opportunities this district has offered me. My dream is for every child in the county to have the same blessings I had. Unfortunately, due to a variety of challenges, primarily related to communication and finances, ACSD1 is not currently in a position to make this dream a reality. I started developing my public speaking and communication skills in kindergarten and have made a lifelong commitment to studying, practicing, and improving them, and the strategies and techniques I have learned, along with a passion for research and learning, make advocacy and sharing information in a clear, concise manner some of my greatest strengths. If I am lucky enough to be elected, I promise to use these gifts to have ongoing, long-term conversations with the Albany County community and provide the honest, well-explained answers you expect and deserve, as well as hold myself and the other Trustees accountable to the people we serve.
