I was unable to earn a spot on the ACSD1 board in 2024. This website is being maintained both as an archive and for possible reuse if I decide to run again sometime. The donation and contact forms no longer function. My concession statement is below...
Well, I appear to have taken fourth place in a race with three winners. Nobody who runs for public office ever wants to lose, so of course I'm sad I didn't earn an opportunity to formally serve our community, but our school system is in good hands with the people who did. I have full faith in them. They, and everyone else on the board, have been a delight to work with! When I first got involved with ACSD1 politics this spring I expected more of the same toxic stonewalling and dismissal I received the first time I reached out to the board roughly ten years ago, but instead I was embraced, supported, and encouraged every step of the way. I've learned and grown so much from my campaign, and the skills, connections, and memories I gained will be treasured for the rest of my life. I plan on continuing my passionate advocacy with the district, and I hope they will continue to be as receptive to my perspectives and ideas going forward as they were when I was running to join them. Love and light, Laramie!
